Building a Vision for Monument Academy’s Future in Colorado Springs

Summary

Some projects go beyond construction. They represent a long-term investment in a community’s future.
At Monument Academy, that future is already taking shape. It is a vision grounded in purpose, growth, and a commitment that continues to move forward. A legacy in motion. Monument Academy is in the midst of a transformational campus expansion in Colorado Springs that will impact students for generations to come. With a shared vision for growth, the Academy has partnered with iiCON Construction, a trusted leader in Colorado Springs K–12 construction and campus development, to bring a multi-phase expansion program to life.

This program includes a new track and field facility, Performing Arts Center, gymnasium, and classroom wing addition. Each element is designed to support student success and long-term institutional growth within the Colorado Springs community.

We are proud to serve as the contractor for this full program, working alongside Monument Academy as each phase becomes reality.

From Immediate Need to Long-Term Impact in Colorado Springs

The journey began with a clear and immediate need. Student-athletes were practicing in a parking lot. While it demonstrated dedication, it also underscored the need for proper athletic facilities.
Today, the track and field project is fully funded and under construction, creating a purpose-built environment that reflects the commitment and potential of Monument Academy’s students in Colorado Springs.
What began as a need has evolved into something much larger. Each step forward reflects a long-term investment in students, programs, and the future of the school.

A Historic Investment in Arts Education

With the recent announcement of a $17 million gift, the largest in Colorado K–12 education history, the Performing Arts Center is now fully funded and moving forward.

This state-of-the-art facility will provide:

  • Dedicated space for theater, music, and visual arts
  • A permanent venue for school assemblies and performances
  • A central hub for community events in Colorado Springs

More than just a building, this project represents a meaningful investment in student development, creativity, and academic excellence.
Research consistently shows that participation in the arts enhances academic performance and supports well-rounded student growth.

What’s Next for Monument Academy in Colorado Springs

  • A new gymnasium
  • A classroom wing addition

These upcoming phases will further enhance the learning environment and support the school’s continued growth in Colorado Springs. Currently in the fundraising phase, they represent the next opportunity for community involvement and investment.

Each phase builds on the last, reflecting steady progress toward a future that is both intentional and enduring.
